When to test your home

You should test your home’s radon levels

If it’s never been tested or radon levels are unknown

Understanding Results

Radon levels are measured in picocuries per liter (pCi/L) of air.

4.0 pCi/L or Higher: The EPA recommends taking immediate action to reduce radon levels.
2.0–4.0 pCi/L: Mitigation should still be considered, as any level of radon poses a risk.
Next Steps: If a short-term test shows high levels, follow up with a second test (either short or long-term) before installing a mitigation system.
