General Home Inspection: Covers systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing, but may not include specialized checks for pests.

Pest Inspection: Focuses on wood-destroying insects (WDI) and rodents, looking for signs like damaged wood, droppings, nests, and gnawed wires.

Signs you need a Termite Inspection

While a general home inspection evaluates the overall structural and mechanical condition of a property, a pest inspection specifically searches for signs of active infestations or damage caused by pests, including:

Peeling wall or ceiling paint
Small holes in the drywall
Mud tubes on your exterior
Discarded termite wings

Preparation: Move stacked items at least two feet away from walls, clear access to attics and crawl spaces, and trim shrubs or tree branches touching the house.
